  6. determines the corneal topography 
  7. by digitizing a series of light slits 
  8. (optic sections) across the cornea.   
  9. This technique has the advantage of 
  10. being able to make measurements 
  11. from limbus to limbus, to determine 
  12. the corneal thickness of the whole 
  13. cornea and to give the back surface 
  14. geometry.   The elevation at each 
  15. point of the cornea is determined.
